The valley of Hermiguas, situated in the northeast of the island, fascinates by its rural charms and the evergreen vegetation. Palm groves and banana plantations intercepted with lordly mansions surrounded by colourful gardens make a picturesque impression in front of the steeply rising massif the Roque de San Pedro. The village Hermigua is not a village closed in itself but a scattered settlement stretching for several kilometres along the road up to the mountains.	Trade winds and clouds bring a humid-mild climate to the valley, resulting in rain more often during the winter months than in the western and southern parts of the island. Since there is no beach suitable for bathing in Hermigua, a natural sea water swimming pool was built into the rocks at the coast. Those who are in Hermigua for their holidays and do not want to do without a beach can reach Playa de La Caleta by passing a little macadamized road. This small and protected bathing bay with a fish restaurant is especially popular with the local population.

Appointments: This old Canary country house is surrounded by banana plantations. The owners have recently renovated it completely. The upper floor was converted into a holiday flat and furnished with high-class, partly antique, furniture. The flat has two bedrooms, one with a double bed, one twin-bedded. The living room with sofa, table and dining recess is spacious and has a direct connection to the terrace, which offers a very beautiful panorama view of the rural surroundings. Furthermore the flat possesses a modern kitchen and shower-bath/toilet. The owners live on the ground floor. They speak English and will readily answer the guests' questions. In the well-kept garden with ornamental plants and fruit trees, you will find a heatable pool with separate children's pool. The complex consists of 11 apartments for 1-3 persons, 1 apartment for 1-4 persons, and 1 studio for 1-2 persons. All living units have been appointed tastefully and dispose of a kitchen unit, a bathroom, satellite TV and a balcony. In addition to the living room, each apartment has a separate bedroom (the apartment for 2-4 persons has two bedrooms). A really beautiful place for calm and relaxing vacations.
