The valley of Hermiguas, situated in the northeast of the island, fascinates by its rural charms and the evergreen vegetation. Palm groves and banana plantations intercepted with lordly mansions surrounded by colourful gardens make a picturesque impression in front of the steeply rising massif the Roque de San Pedro. The village Hermigua is not a village closed in itself but a scattered settlement stretching for several kilometres along the road up to the mountains.	Trade winds and clouds bring a humid-mild climate to the valley, resulting in rain more often during the winter months than in the western and southern parts of the island. Since there is no beach suitable for bathing in Hermigua, a natural sea water swimming pool was built into the rocks at the coast. Those who are in Hermigua for their holidays and do not want to do without a beach can reach Playa de La Caleta by passing a little macadamized road. This small and protected bathing bay with a fish restaurant is especially popular with the local population.

Furthermore the flat possesses a modern kitchen and shower-bath/toilet. The owners live on the ground floor. They speak English and will readily answer the guests' questions. Location: Situated in a very calm location in the upper part of Agulo, close to the national park Garajonay, at a distance of about 1.3km from the visitors' centre Juego de Bolas. Shopping: 8km Beach / coast: 16km Restaurants: 1km San Sebastian: 30km Airport Santiago de La Gomera: 30km Centro Salud (health centre): 8km Appointments: This magical Finca is located at about 600m above the sea, it is embedded in a forest, surrounded by many hamlets and in the direct neighborhood of the national park Garajonay. The Finca sleeps 1-4 persons. In more than 3 years, the owner has renovated this cottage in loving detail work from scratch; he also integrated and conserved the beautiful old natural stone walls. In this Finca, traditional construction is combined with comfort and cozyness in a very beautiful way since decoration and furnishings have also been detailly matched to the character of this cottage. For instance the downsides of the ceilings are paneled. In order to ensure a pleasant temperature for the rooms, the roof tiles and the floor were insulated with a protection membrane against humidity as part of the renovation. The large window bank of the winter garden can be opened completely, the windows offer a wonderful view of the valley and of a tree of more than 250 years, which stands in front of the estate. The winter garden also serves as dining room, it is furnished with a dining table and chairs. The cottage disposes of 2 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is located on a drawn-in second layer above the living room ("attic" with double bed). The second bedroom is located in the basement of the house, it is furnished with twin beds, a built-in wardrobe and a bed table. The stylish bathroom with shower cabin, toilet and two washing basins is located in the basement as well. The highlight is the living room with lounge, restaurated folding shutters and especially the bricked fireplace which warms the room cozily on fresh days. Here the guests have sat-tv and a stereo with radio/CD player at their disposal. The kitchen is furnished completely with sink, stove, refridgerator, crockery, pans and pots, cutlery, microwave, fondue, juice squeezer and all utensils necessary for the preparation of meals. The house disposes of a large terrace with table, chairs and sunbeds which invite for reading, relaxing and enjoying. A private rustic and wind shielded outdoor barbecue is located at the back of the house, on cooler days it can be used for snug barbecue evenings.
